Our team offers over 100 years of combined expertise and a unique range of specialized backgrounds and professional accreditations. With Chad, Scott, Luc, Julie & now Cooper rounding out the 4th generation of Realtor's in our family, real estate is not just a career for us, it's part of our DNA.

Steve Knowles

Steve Knowles first became licensed in 1989 and immediately began working for Re/Max as he believed strongly in the Re/Max business model.

Steve has been involved in a wide range or Real Estate transactions, from vacant land, farms, residential, condo and new developments, with values ranging from 50K to over 3M.

Steve is a firm believer in ongoing education and training, as the market place is constantly changing. "In order to be successful, you must adapt and keep well ahead of the market curve." Steve obtained his Brokers license in 2004 and he has served on the board of directors with the Canadian Condominium Institute Huronia Chapter for 5 consecutive years.

Through various new development projects including "Grand Harbour", "Water View" and "Nautica", Steve has had the privilege and opportunity of working with some very talented Sales and Marketing people over the years.

Steve is happily married to his beautiful wife Michelle and they have two great boys who enjoy all sports including fishing, snow sports, water skiing, golf, hockey & baseball.

Karen Woolsey

Karen Woolsey has been a full time Realtor since 1981 and has successfully worked through the various Real Estate cycles of the 80's and 90's, and the very challenging and changing markets of the new millennium. In the most recent past Karen played a key role as a senior Sales Representative on the new waterfront condominium projects including; Grand Harbour, The Waterview & The Nautica phase 1 & 2.

Karen is a consistent top producer at Re/Max and has achieved several awards over the years, including the prestigious Re/Max Hall of Fame.

Karen's vast experience and continuing education in Real Estate keep her at the top of the ever-changing market trends. Most recently Karen obtained her "Accredited Senior Designation" strengthening her knowledge and understanding of the growing services of the senior market.

Karen is married to John and they have five grown children and three beautiful granddaughters. Her hobbies include volunteering within the community, travel, scuba diving, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

Scott Woolsey

Through the years of perseverance and determination, Scott has earned his place as one of the most sought-after Real Estates agents in Barrie

Scott is a consistent award-winning professional who makes the Real Estate process enjoyable and successful for everyone he represents. With years of experience ranging from condominiums, investment properties, first time home buyers and luxury real estates, Scott's main objective is to ensure each individual he represents feels as though he is working for them alone.

Regardless of how challenging the task, with Scott as your representative you will experience an agent who approaches each assignment with honesty, integrity, and attention to detail. Scott is tenacious and strives to fully satisfy the needs of his clientele. Always on top of the ever-changing market conditions, Scott understands vale and assists his clients in obtaining maximum profit in the Real Estate ventures.

Scott is a recipient of several awards including the Re/Max Chairman's Club Award. He strives to continue his education within the Real Estate industry never settling when it comes to expanding his area of expertise. Scott has successfully completed courses in Commercial Real Estate, Real Property Law, and most recently Mortgage Finance.

His hard work and dedication have raised the standard in the industry and have also made him and agent his colleagues are happy to work with. The best way to explain it, really, is to show you.

Chad Woolsey

Born and raised into a 4th generation Real Estate family in Barrie Ontario, Chad Woolsey graduated in 2004 from Georgian College with a 3-year management diploma.

Beginning his career in aviation as a pilot for Canada's leading airline, Chad has had the unique opportunity to travel the world and see Real Estate from various perspectives on most continents of the globe.

Chad has launched into the real estate business joining his family's leading team at RE/MAX, The Knowles/Woolsey Team. The KW Team boast over 50 years combined realtor experience in the Barrie and surrounding area.

Chad looks forward to continuing to grow as a Realtor and enhance his knowledge working with the KW Team. Chad is eager to take what he has learnt from Real Estate and Aviation, together with the years of experience of Karen, Steve and Scott, to continue the tradition and provide the high level of service they currently do.

As a Barrie resident for life, Chad is an enthusiastic member of the community and enjoys, running marathons, triathlons golf and hockey.

Julie Woolsey

Upon graduation from the University of Alberta, with a degree in Sociology and Psychology, Julie made the move to Ontario and has called Barrie and surrounding area home for the last 25 years.

Having personally built, remodelled and renovated several houses, Julie has firsthand experience at property enhancement through renovations and new builds. She has the ability to see potential and opportunity in real estate that others may overlook.

Julie's love of architecture and design coupled with her 20 plus years of business ownership has helped refine her attention to detail which ensures that clients receive the highest level of client care.

As a member to the Knowles Woolsey Team, who boast over 100 years combined industry experience, Julie provides buyers and sellers with a critical eye to detail and design and understands the emotional journey that home ownership brings.

With a focus on current home trends, Julie has extensive knowledge and resources to assist homeowners in achieving their vision.

When Julie is not working, she enjoys travel, staying fit and spending time with family and friends.

Luc Woolsey

"Father, Real Estate Broker, Music lover and motorcycle enthusiast trying to leave a trail of deliriously happy client's and make a few dollars along the way."

With an already extensive background in tech, management, customer service and sales, Luc entered the Real estate field with a goal of providing an unparalleled experience during what is arguably one of the most significant purchases of ones life.

12 years later, Luc continues to raise the bar of professionalism in the industry and in 2022 was elected President of the Barrie and District Association of Realtors. 

Luc provides a hands on approach that is a unique blend of experience, hard work and no nonsense honesty, enhanced by technology to make the process as seamless and rewarding as possible for his clients.

Luc is constantly exploring new ways to go above and beyond and strives to stay on top of an ever changing real estate landscape ensuring his clients come out ahead.

Always learning new things Luc is certified in both residential and commercial real estate and has taken additional courses in real property law, property management, mortgage finance, appraisal and even earned his real estate brokers licence. A designation held by only 1% of active Realtors in Canada.

Due to these attributes and others many of Luc's past clients now find themselves amongst his close friends.

Adam Davis

Simply put, Adam Davis is obsessed with real estate. His obsession began early in life after purchasing his first home at the age of 20 while attending Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. Renting rooms to friends and fellow students ignited a passion for Real Estate and investing and opened his eyes to a career that involved helping others realize their real estate goals

Fast forward 10 years and Adam has personally bought, renovated, and sold 10 properties and spent a decade helping clients buy and sell real estate in Toronto and the GTA to Simcoe county.

Working in the ultra competitive and fast paced GTA market, Adam was forced to learn quickly and has a tremendous amount of experience with a wide variety of housing products including condominiums, both pre-construction and resale, investment properties, first time buyers, and residential leasing.

Adam prides himself on being a highly effective communicator and having a natural ability to make his clients feel comfortable and confident when buying or selling. "The term "selling" real estate is outdated, nobody wants to be sold. My job as a realtor is to build relationships and help guide my clients into making educated decisions". Adam strives to deliver a service level that is second to none and is most proud of the fact that a large number of his clients end up becoming personal friends.

Outside of work Adam enjoys travelling, staying active, attending concerts, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Cooper Knowles

As a fourth-generation sales representative, Cooper has been fortunate enough to learn the ins and outs of the real estate business from his father and mentor, Steve Knowles and the other talented and knowledgeable agents from the Knowles-Woolsey team. He is thrilled to be joining the KW team, bringing new insight and carrying on the family tradition that has been standing since 1950.

As recent honours graduate of business communications in real estate and housing at Guelph University, Cooper has dedicated the last 4 years to studying the art of real estate. He has truly mastered the skills of professionalism, personable communication, and is most notably known for his positivity and enthusiasm for learning all things real estate. Cooper has called the beautiful city of Barrie home for over 23 years and is passionate about helping others find their perfect place to call home in Barrie and the surrounding area.

Outside of the office, Cooper enjoys spending time with family and friends at the cottage in Georgian Bay. He is an avid hockey fan and always looks forward to summer weather and the days spent on the golf course. Cooper could not be more proud of the teams' efforts and successes and is excited to see what the next chapter holds for the team!

Brendan Dennis

Brendan is a long time Barrie resident, with deep family roots in the area going back over 40 years. Growing up immersed in a wide array of sports, Brendan ended up focusing on Volleyball, competing at Club, Provincial, and National levels through High School. This led him to continue playing at the varsity level at McMaster University, where he also graduated with a Kinesiology Degree.

Brendan Spent 5 years in Medical Device Sales, working with surgical teams across the Northern GTA and right here in Barrie and Orillia.

“I can say firsthand that the surgical support provided in our communities is top notch, and I am honoured and humbled to have been able to be a part of those teams on a daily basis.”

Developing strong relationships with members of these surgical teams built on expertise and trust, and working in high pressure situations, has allowed Brendan to transfer these skills seamlessly into Real Estate.

After obtaining his license in the fall of 2020, Brendan has achieved success in a short time receiving 100% Club recognition with RE/MAX in his first two years of business, along with RE/MAX Hallmark's Rookie of the Year Award in 2021.

Devyn Barr

Born and raised in Midhurst and Barrie, Devyn returned home after completing her 4-year Bachelors of Psychology degree at University of Ottawa to begin her real estate license and work as the client concierge with the KW Team. Devyn has been involved in the Lakhouse Lakefront Residence with the KW Team and has loved the experience of learning the process of selling/ building the development. She is excited to have completed her real estate license and hopes to start flipping houses.

As a retired CFL cheerleader, Devyn continues to enjoy living an active lifestyle and loves all things working out and fitness. She is a big animal rights advocate and hopes to rescue as many animals as possible whether it's adopting or fostering. Devyn enjoys spending time with her family and going up north to the French River.

Kimberly Rowntree

Kimberly has proudly called Barrie home since 2002. Over the years, she has developed strong partnerships with local businesses and agencies, supporting many of their initiatives that help our community grow in a positive direction. Kimberly maintains membership with both Business and Professional Women of Barrie and also the Orillia Business Women's Association, participating in personal and professional development activities throughout the year. Interestingly, she is also a member of ACTRA Toronto - look closely and you might see her in movies, TV shows and commercials.

Drawing on over 35 years of business development, marketing, administration and project management experience Kimberly embraces the dynamic role of Office Manager for The KW Team. Her primary goal is to effectively and efficiently support each member of the team - so together we can best meet (and exceed) the needs of our valued clients!

Kimberly loves the four season recreation that Simcoe County offers. In the fair weather months you might find her riding an e-bike on the 160 km Simcoe County Trail, stand up paddle boarding on Lake Simcoe or attending one of many outdoor markets and festivals. And yes, Barrie gets lots of snow ... Kimberly is not shy to gear up for a brisk hike or some cross country skiing on a bright winter's day.

Laura Castro
